Don Banh and Sharine Leung are New College’s IT Specialists.

As IT Co-ordinator, Don is the technical lead when it comes to matters of information and technology.  Staff members are welcome to seek Don for consultation on matters of access & usage policies, online hosting, media distribution, hardware & software procurement of information and technology.  Faculty may also seek Don’s advise in terms of using technology in the classroom and other academic related initiatives.

Don is also the lead systems administrator of the college’s computing infrastructure, as well as college’s network infrastructure which includes ResNet. He manages the computing helpdesk which will consist of IT staff members and work-study students, and is also in charge of keycard access and security within the college.

Sharine is the Manager of Computer Support Services. She is primarily responsible for the Student Computer Lab Facility and the Faculty in the College, including the support of students and faculty with software and other academic teaching tools. She also helps faculty with the acquisition of new hardware, as well as installation and configuration software.
