The University of Toronto Namibia Internship Program was started in 1997 through the Department of Anthropology, placing students from various disciplines at unique host organizations. Students, with local and Toronto-based support, participate in an 11 week service-learning placement during the summer term.

This program offers students from the Faculty of Kinesiology and Physical Education, the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, and the Faculty of Arts and Science the opportunity to participate in service learning placements directly and indirectly related to Namibia’s HIV and AIDS epidemic. The program aims to provide an exceptional learning experience for students while fulfilling the gaps faces by the host organizations. In addition, students are eligible to receive a full-year, 400-level University of Toronto credit.
