Accommodation
Guests will be housed in traditional student dormitory residence halls in a combination of single and double rooms. Please visit our Facilities page to see what is included in each room. All residences are right beside each other and within walking distance to many tourist attractions, museums, theatres, art galleries and main shopping areas. They are only seconds from streetcar and subway routes that can take you to anywhere you wanted to go in the Toronto area.
Meals and Catering
Guests can enjoy a full hot breakfast, lunch and/or dinner in our “Fresh Food Company” dining hall located on the second floor of our Wilson Hall Residence. Guests can watch as professional chefs from Aramark Food Services prepare delicious daily entrees at marche-style food stations. Aramark Food Services will gladly cater any meal to your conference and meeting event. Email us for meal and catering pricing and options.
Meeting Rooms
New College Residence also has a number of meeting or event rooms such as a theatre-style auditorium (holds 250 people) with retractable seating, a banquet hall (holds 300 people), boardrooms and classrooms of various sizes. Use of general audiovisual equipment, computer lab access and other services may also be arranged.
Safety and Security
The University of Toronto employs fully trained campus police officers who continually patrol the campus in patrol cars, bicycles and on foot. New College Residence also has permanent 24-hour staff in the residence to provide information and assistance to guests as needed. For added security, the elevator and residence floor doors are locked which can only be accessed by guests. There will also be a security guard who will patrol the residence floors everyday throughout the night. We can arrange a security guard to station specifically with your group.
