U of T Giving Day 2026
Dates & Times
Event start date : 03/26/2026
This is an all day event
On March 26, the New College community will be participating in U of T’s Giving Day. This university-wide movement is a once-a-year opportunity to make a big difference for students at NEW through the power of our community’s collective generosity.
Ways to participate at NEW:
Here at New College, Giving Day is a chance to inspire the strength and impact of a NEW education! We invite anyone in our community to donate in support of one or more of our three featured funds:
- New College Scholarships and Awards, which help ensure all NEW students can access the support they need to start or complete their education.
- New College Annual Fund, which supports NEW’s area of greatest need.
- The David Clandfield Award in Scholarly Activism, awarded annually to one or more students enrolled in the Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity program based on academic merit and potential to contribute to social justice issues.
Every gift will be matched by U of T, up to $1,000, while matching funds last — DOUBLING your impact!
New College Students – celebrate the power of philanthropy!
Join us on Wednesday, March 25 in the Wilson Lounge 12 pm – 2 pm for a special Giving Day event, where you will have a chance to show your gratitude to our generous community by writing a warm acknowledgement to a donor and receive a free NEW branded cookie, while quantities last.
New this year, the New College Student Council will be on site with branded merchandise for sale. A portion of the proceeds on March 25 will be donated to the New College Annual Fund.
Other ways to participate in the campaign include sharing and liking on our social networks: @newcollegeuoft or @uoftalumni – #UofTGivingDay.
