Math Aid

The Math Learning Centre is located in Room 2002, Wilson Hall (40 Willcocks Street.)

Due to current regulations related to COVID-19, the New College Math Learning Centre is not offering in-person tutoring.  Students can access virtual tutoring through the Zoom links listed below.

With the assistance of the University Mathematics Department, New College provides free drop-in tutorial help in first-year Calculus courses. It is crucial in Math courses to keep up to date: this is especially important as you progress from the material covered in the first few weeks of term, which involves a fair amount of review, into new topics. Math cannot be crammed at the eleventh hour before a test or exam; you need to acquire a thorough understanding of one concept before you can move on to the next.

Students are advised to consult the New College Math tutors, as well as the Department’s Math Learning Centre Sidney Smith Hall for timely assistance with questions and problems.
