The Office of Residence and Student Life would like to congratulate Elizabeth Shaha as she takes on an exciting new role. Elizabeth will be leaving her current position as Residence Life Programs Coordinator (RLPC) to become a Learning Strategist with the University of Toronto Academic Success department. Happily, Elizabeth will now be the on-location Learning Strategist at New College.
During her time as NEW’s RLPC, Elizabeth provided instrumental support for the New College Residence Council and was a dedicated facilitator and trainer, including for the SafeTALK (Suicide Alertness for Everyone) program. Her exemplary work included supporting the Residence Academic Programmers and organizing a thorough and supportive set of academic programs for students in residence. And Elizabeth can always be counted on to bring her energy and positivity to the ORSL team and the NEW community!
We are so pleased that Elizabeth will remain connected to our community as our Learning Strategist. In this role, she will provide support for both our Sprout Mentorship and Ignite Orientation programs. Her Masters in Teaching (MT), deep understanding of our students, and commitment to their wellbeing make her ideally suited for this role.
Elizabeth will be working with us through the holiday break and finishing her time as RLPC on January 3rd. She will start her new role with Academic Success on January 4, 2021. Congratulations to Elizabeth and we’re so excited to see what she will accomplish in this new position!
