Biography

Mikayla (she/her) is Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg and Anglo settler living in the shared territory of Toronto. She was born and raised in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough) and is a member of Curve Lake First Nation. Mikayla credits an upbringing on Michi Saagiig Lands and Waters and the Knowledges received from Nishnaabeg relations for the perspectives that guide her work as a librarian at the University of Toronto.
