Event Description
Canada's Minister of International Trade has been given a mandate to develop an economic cooperation strategy with the African continent. Please join the University of Toronto's African Studies program as we delve into the future of Canada-Africa economic engagement. This event will feature a panel that includes MP Arif Virani, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion and Small Business as well as MP Arielle Kayabaga, MP for London West. It will also include Tapfuma Musewe (Founder of Afrifursa), Karima Catherine Goundiam (founder of B2BMatch), Olutoyin Oyelade (Founder of InVCap Corporation & Casa Foundation) and will be moderated by Kofi Achampong (Lawyer & Government Affairs Advisor).
We will discuss Canada's renewed economic interest and engagement with the African continent as well as anticipated challenges and opportunities that are sure to emerge.
