A ‘new’ way of bringing together alumni and students!

As much information as can be gleaned from websites, job descriptions and career-counselling sessions, nothing beats face-to-face exchanges when it comes to learning about the daily ins and outs of particular careers, paths to get there or the sheer range of professional possibilities that come with a university degree. And who would know better than those who have already made a successful jump into a fulfilling profession?

That is why, to mark our 50th anniversary and to continue the immense success of our mentor/mentee reunion gatherings, we started hosting a series of dinners that encourage interactions between alumni and current students — Dinner@NEW.

Invited alumni come from a wide range of professional fields, and some graduated with degrees not immediately associated with their current work: they chose a more unconventional route to a meaningful career. Students likewise hail from diverse backgrounds and degree programs.

If you are interested in returning to New College for an evening of sharing your insights, networking and fine dining, let us know. You will leave an indelible mark on the lives of New College students just thinking about making their first inroads into the professional world — and have fun at the same time!

Email alumni.newcollege@utoronto.ca or call 416-978-8273 to ask how you can get involved. We look forward to hearing from you!
