? Can’t find the time to start those projects at the back of your mind that you know you want to work on?

? Would you want to block out 30 mins to 3 hours each week to inch these project forward?

? Looking for a space to bounce ideas and feel less alone when working on writing pieces?

? Has teaching and administration taken centre stage, but you’d love to pull more writing opportunities into your term?

Write Now is your NEW writing group!

Whether you’re writing an op-ed, journal article, book, dissertation, magazine article, script, multimodal project, or something else entirely, we are here for you!

Write Now is a virtual drop in writing group that will give you the space to brainstorm, set writing goals, connect with your colleagues and boost productivity.

We will meet alternating Wednesdays, starting February 21 from 10 a.m to 1 p.m. ET via Zoom!

We offer:

  • Drop in any time and stay as long as you can, whether it’s 20 mins on a busy day or the full 3-hours
  • Goal setting at the beginning of each session. You will have the opportunity to share as much or as little as you like about your writing goals for the week
  • Quiet writing blocks (1 hour block with 10-minute breaks in between each hour)
  • Optional breakout rooms for writing discussions with your peers
  • Guest lectures on helpful writing processes and resources – stay tuned on upcoming dates

We will move to weekly virtual writing sessions with opportunities to meet in-person throughout the Spring 2024 term. Details and dates will be announced soon!
