What is Welcome Day?
New College’s Welcome Day is a half-day, in-person program that provides incoming students with an opportunity to learn more about New College and the University of Toronto.
At our Welcome Day, you can:
- tour the New College campus;
- hear from staff and ask them questions;
- learn more about course selection and enrolment;
- participate in a mock lecture;
- meet and chat with upper-year students about their experiences at New College;
- and have ample opportunity to ask questions about your first year.
Welcome Day 2025
Welcome Day 2025 will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025. The session will run from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM. You are welcome to bring up to 2 guests.
Welcome Day will take place in person at New College. Sessions will be located in the the William Doo Auditorium at 45 Willcocks Ave. Toronto, ON M5S 1C6.

Welcome Day is just one component of our Welcome Experience.
Information provided in-person will also be available virtually. Online resources will be available to guide you on course selection and registration, program enrolment, degree planning, and more.
There will also be Ask an Advisor group advising sessions hosted by the Registrar’s Office to support you with any questions you have regarding course enrolment and degree planning.
