What is Welcome Day?
New College’s Welcome Day is an online program that provides incoming students with an opportunity to learn more about New College and the University of Toronto.
At our Welcome Day, you can:
- hear from staff and ask them questions;
- learn more about course selection and enrolment;
- participate in a mock lecture;
- meet and chat with upper-year students about their experiences at New College;
- and have ample opportunity to ask questions about your first year.
Welcome Day 2026
Welcome Day 2026 will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. The session will run from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Welcome Day will take place online through Zoom. A link to join will be shared with all registrants.

Join us on campus for an afternoon of fun, connection, and community. Meet other incoming New College students, enjoy free activities, explore the college, connect with student leaders, and get a head start on building your New College experience and friendships before Orientation begins.

- Wednesday, August 5, 2026
- The session will run from 1:00pm – 4:00pm EST
- Fully in-person event at New College. More information will be sent to your email after registration.

Welcome Day is just one component of our Welcome Experience.
Information provided synchronously online will also be available virtually. Online resources will be available to guide you on course selection and registration, program enrolment, degree planning, and more.
There will also be Ask an Advisor group advising sessions hosted by the Registrar’s Office to support you with any questions you have regarding course enrolment and degree planning. Check your email for updates about sessions!
