New College Writing Centre offers a range of programs and services to scaffold your students’ learning and enhance their thinking and writing skills.
Programs and services we offer:
- One-on-one appointments
- Our drop-in programs: Writing Room, CAESS Writing Group, QT Write-Ins
- Additional writing groups, workshops and events hosted throughout the year
We also offer embedded programming, including tailored workshops led by our highly skilled instructors and opportunities to reserve drop-in spaces for your students.
We’re here for you, too! We also offer writing groups for faculty, staff and librarians that can boost our own writing productivity, inch your projects forward, and connect you with colleagues who are also juggling too many to-dos.
These services are available to New College students and students working on assignments for courses in African Studies (AFR), Buddhism, Psychology and Mental Health (BPMH), Caribbean Studies (CAR), NewOne (NEW), Community Engaged Learning, Critical Studies in Equity and Solidarity (CSE), Human Biology (HMB) and Women and Gender Studies (WGS).

New College Writing Centre
The New College Writing Centre offers friendly feedback and guidance from highly skilled instructors to help you develop your thinking and writing at university. The centre provides personalized one-on-one sessions, as well as a variety of drop-in spaces, writing groups, and events throughout the academic year. We work with students at all stages of the research and writing process, across all fields of study, on all genres of assignments, and at all levels—from first to senior year.
